History of Community |
We are a Religious Community of Sisters whose members pronounce vows and live in community. United in prayer and apostolic works, following the inspiration of Saint Francis of Assisi, we consecrate our lives to Christ, our Eternal Spouse. Seeking to rekindle the spirit of Saint Francis, we attempt to live the Gospel message and spiritual ideals as found in his Rule and Testament. We are a Religious Community of diocesan right established initially in June, 1983 in the Diocese of Norwich, Connecticut. We then moved to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1991 and were recognized as a Private Association of the Faithful. We were re-established in January, 2001 in the Diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska, presently under the care of Bishop James Conley. |
